Today's lunch.

Look what we had for lunch today. Can you tell it's Lucy's very most favorite food?

Needless to say, we definitely had a bath when we were done.

What we've been up to

I feel like posting something, so I was trying to think what we've done recently. We've actually been quite busy! Kyle's loving his job. He really enjoys all the things he gets to do. He even recently (and very randomly) got to design a sippy cup for someone. (:

I got a new car! I love it! It's an Isuzu Trooper, it have four doors (getting Lucy in and out it so easy now!), it's really fun to drive, and it's nice to just have a vehicle. I don't feel like such a mooch anymore, begging everyone for rides.

I've also been busy busy with my photography, which we're so grateful for! You can see some of my recent work on my photography blog.

Lucy's personality comes out more every day. She's so funny. She can be such a charmer, she has the cutest little smile when she wants something or is happy to see you, but she also has such a temper! How do you teach an almost-10 month old that it's not okay to throw herself on the floor and bawl when it's time to get dressed? Oh brother. She's definitely a drama queen. She's also busy as can be. She gets into everything. I always find her yanking stuff out of drawers or climbing up the stairs to go visit her friends. Silly girl.

Also, my good friend Steve got home from his mission last week. He is like a brother to me, and he's Lucy's self proclaimed Godfather. It was so fun to see him again, and it has made me so excited for my Marky to come home in April!!

Christmas 2009

I am aware that I'm slow in getting pictures up from Christmas. Oh well. It was the most not-break-ish break I've ever had. Kyle still had to work, I had tons of shoots. Anyway, I'm just getting around to it. (:

So, Christmas Adam (the day before Christmas Eve) we went to the extended Stout family party. So fun! Lucy was the baby Jesus for the Nativity, and it was so cute-she let her cousin hold her like a baby the whole time!

Lucy being the baby Jesus. Cute!

Two shepherds. (:

Corbin, Conner, Lucy and John

Lucy and her cousin being little nuts with the Christmas presents.

My uncle, aunt, and cousin have beautiful voices. I love listening to them sing!

Then on Christmas Eve went went to my Grandma and Grandpa Austin's for their party. It was a blast!

The Nativity. (little Miss Lillie is being a princess. How funny!)

The angels (and the princess.)

Pretty sure we had like ten narrators this year. (:

Megan leading, and some of the other narrators.

Then, we spent the night at my parent's house (just for John), which was so fun! We woke up and opened presents, then came back to Kyle's parents for more presents!

John got an orange!

Megan sees her new puppy Kevyn, for the first time!
She's such a cute little Kevyn!

Lucy gets abandoned on the floor in all the excitement. (:
Dad and Kyle. Go cougars!
Lucy got some pretties. Yay!

My cute Mark called from Germany in the early afternoon, we had an early dinner with the Johnson's, then played some more. Needless to say, it was a very busy day. Lucy was exhausted. It was a wonderful Christmas though!

Meet Kevyn

This is Kevyn.

We have been harboring her (yes, Kevyn's a girl) here for 2 weeks for Santa. She was for Megan for Christmas. Lucy liked her a lot. She liked to feed her things...

...they both loved to wear pretties...

...Kevyn liked to give Lucy kisses...

...they both liked to play with toys and read books...

...they could both take up professional mess making...

...and they were good buddies.

Despite all of this, we learned from Kevyn that we're not ready to have a dog for a few more years. She was very cute and cuddly, but we're okay just visiting her at grandma's house for now. Maybe someday...

Recent happenings

Here are a few recent photos from my phone. I know they're not great quality, but they're cute.

Lucy loves the Christmas tree!

This is often the face she gets when she's looking at one.

Lucy and her cousin Capri "watching" a BYU game.

Lucy riding Grandpa Austin's horse. She is her mother's daughter. (:

Lucy and Dad at his work party. Lucy won this cool prize-it's pieces are so small she might be able to play with it in, oh, 10 years or so.

Our alternative to a shopping cart where they have none.

Lucy's winter coat. Love it!

Lucy's trying out a few new hair styles right now. This is a personal favorite.

We've decided to raise the baby Amish.

Lucy's new favorite game. Get to the wipes as quickly as possible, then yank out as many as you can before mom stops you. She's probably going to be in the Olympics for it in a few years, she's that good at it.

BYU/Utah game

I know I'm late with this, but the day of the big BYU/U of U game, Kyle and I wanted to take some pictures of Lucy in her BYU shirt. Cute little stinker. It was a pretty good game though, eh?
