back

No, I haven't died. I just haven't done anything on this blog in a month and a half. Our lives have been so crazy! Here's what we've been up to:

The end of November we moved into our new house! It's still so weird to be a home owner. But we are absolutely loving it! I'll post pictures of the house once I take some. Ha.

Here's Lylah and Papa in November:

And this busy busy baby again:

December was a really fun month. I love Christmas. And it's 10 times better when you have kids.

These are from Kyle's work party. Both the girls got a prize from their drawing:

Cute cousins!
Your average Stout Family Christmas Party:
Mary (Lucy) and Joseph (Tevin)

I did take pictures of Christmas, but not with my phone. So...they're not going on here right now. :)

January was INSANE.
Kyle: Still working at Grace Frame, but also began helping to develop a new product for cinematography (see the website here). He is absolutely loving it, but it is taking a lot of time. There was a week in the middle of January (when they were getting ready to announce it at the Sundance Film Festival) where I was pretty much a single mom. I hated it. But things have slowed down a lot, and I can tell he really enjoys it. We'll keep you posted on how that's going!

Rachel: I started the year off with a bang-shooting 2 weddings in the first week of January. I was also doing my last internship for school. I finished that up on January 26, and I can't tell you the relief I felt! It was so tricky to coordinate-we only have one car, so Kyle had to take the bus the days I needed it; Kyle's mom had surgery (poor thing!) so there went one of my babysitters (a HUGE thank you to my mom and my sister-in-law for all the time they spent watching them!!!); I continued doing both photography and school very full time; and then of course all the extra stuff Kyle's been doing. Needless to say, I was very relieved when I walked out of class on January 26!
We did a lot of fun things too, I had a good birthday and we got to go to an exclusive invitation-only party at the Sundance Film Festival. We felt very fancy.

I also did my annual Photo-A-Day challenge in January. You can see it here.

Lucy: Is as silly as ever and so smart! I really got an idea of how smart she was during my internship. I would go into other people's homes and work with their kids between the ages of 0-3. Not that I'm bragging (yes I am), but she's a bright one. :) She started Kindermusik the end of January and LOVES it! Music is her thing. She's also pretty much potty trained (except during naps and bedtime) which is so nice for mommy!

Lylah: Is the sweetest little thing! She is going to be the funny sister, I think. She will do anything (literally) to get people to laugh. She's also a picky eater (unlike her big sister). I think she has some of the issues I have, cause she hates the same foods I do. :) Lylah crawls super fast, but isn't interested in walking yet. Her favorite thing is Lucy, and they're becoming best friends!

Ahh, if you made it all the way here then bless you.
Here are a few pictures from my phone:

Glamourous Lucy.

First snowman of the year (and last, by the looks of this weather).
Would you be at all surprised if I told you her favorite book character is Fancy Nancy?

So I made Lucy a grilled cheese sandwich and after looking it over she set it back down and said "Umm, I just ate yesterday." :)
