Garden

Kyle's so cute. He has been dying to have a garden since we got married, so this year he worked it out with my dad so that we could use some of their land to plant some stuff. He loves it! He gets so excited when things start growing and just to get in and get his hands dirty (he says he doesn't get enough of that because he works in an office). Anyway, today he picked his very first crop! It's a summer squash! And don't mind the fact that he looks super tired. I forced him to take this picture at like 11 at night. He is so proud! I'm sure I'll post more on the garden.

Busy busy busy!

I can't believe it's been almost a month since I last posted on this blog. Opps. Our lives have become insanely busy! Kyle's working hard and loving his job. We're so grateful he has one.

Lucy is busy as ever. She runs, not walks, everywhere she goes. She's trying to give up signing (which makes me so mad. She knows probably 45 or 50 signs now, but refuses to do them!), because she thinks she can talk now. And talk she does. Just not in english. Oh dear.

I've become super busy with my photography, and I'm loving it! I've been averaging 3-4 shoots a week, and sometimes even more. We're so excited that things are going so well with that. I'm also super busy with school. I am 2 weeks into a 10 week internship. It's really fun to be able to dress up and get out of the house. I love being able to talk to adults (not just my 1 year old). But I really miss being able to stay home with my baby all day. Luckily I only have to be gone 8 hours a week and I have a wonderful mom and mother-in-law who are helping out. But I still feel a little guilty making someone else watch her for so much time each week. Anyway, kind of mixed feelings on that. :)

Anyway, those are the basic reasons why I haven't posted in a while. But we're super happy and loving life!

Totally unrelated, but here are some cute pictures of Lucy from recently.
Playing guitar with Uncle Mark.
Being cute. :)
Both her Grandma's recently got kitties. Lucy adores kitties. Poor kitties.

He's back!!

My cute brother Marky got back from his mission on Thursday! We were so excited to see him again!

Anxiously waiting!
Left to right: Chelsey, Mom, Davey, Dad, Grandpa, John, me, Kyle, Lucy, and Megan (Grandma was taking the picture)
There he is!! (You can just see his head, he's wearing a blue tie.) At this point I start screaming and bawling.

He blasted through everyone to give Mom a hug very first thing!

Then he gave everyone else a hug.

Mark meets Lucy.

All of us with him! We are so happy to have him back!

The Birthday Party!

Oh man, I'm slow getting these up here. But here are some of the highlights from Lucy's birthday party.

When? Monday, March 22, 2010
Where? Our house
Food? Spoon Tacos (yum!), fresh fruit, cake, ice cream
Party Theme? Mickey Mouse Club House
(the only t.v. show Lucy has ever seen. We think she likes it...at least it entertains her for about 30 seconds.)
Gifts? Lots! But some include musical toys, balls, clothes, a bracelet, and an amazing hand drawing of Lucy from uncle Bryan.
Guest List:
-My parents and siblings (G & G Stout, Megan and John)
-Kyle's parents and siblings (G & G Johnson; Justin, Jessica, and Capri; Kendra, Mikey, and Ellie; Paul; Travis; Kali; Kara; Tevin)
-My grandparents (G & G Austin)
-Ryan and Alayne (my cousin and his wife)

We missed Chelsey (on choir tour), Bryan (at school), and of course Mark (on his mission).

Here are a few pictures of the guests. I didn't get all of them. Sorry!

My mom and grandma Austin.
Three grandpas! My grandpa Austin, my dad, Kyle's dad.
Two uncles, Tevin and John.
Ellie and Lucy playing with new toys!
Travis and Paul. Awkward.
Aunt Kali!
Aunt Kendra, Lucy, me, and Kyle.
Uncle Justin, Aunt Jessica, and cute little Capri.
Aunt Kara. She was really into that book. (:

And here are a few of the other events of the evening.

Her birthday cakes! The little one was hers, the big one was for everyone else.
Lucy and Grandma! Cute!
Opening some presents. (John is being a pest in the background.)

Lucy's Cake!
Blowing out the candles!
Yummy!
So excited! Notice the total lack of mess. She was picking sprinkles off one at a time. So daddy pushed her hand into the cake...
And she started bawling!

Once her hand was clean again she was alright, but the cake sure was anti-climactic!

2 Year Anniversary!

Yesterday was our 2 year wedding anniversary! It was a busy, but good day. I had a big school project I was working on in Salt Lake all morning, Kyle's brother went through the temple (congrats Trav!), I had math homework...it was just crazy! But we did get to go to the temple and out to dinner (thanks to my fabulous mother in law for babysitting).

Coolest story! So we went to the temple, and the very man who married us was there working in the room! Talk about coincidence!
(This is Brother Packard. Don't worry, I'm not a creepy stalker. I've been doing his personal history video for the last few months, so I have all their family pictures.)

Anyway, it was a really good day. I love Kyle so much! He's the best hubby ever! Thanks honey, I love you!

Christmas 2009

I am aware that I'm slow in getting pictures up from Christmas. Oh well. It was the most not-break-ish break I've ever had. Kyle still had to work, I had tons of shoots. Anyway, I'm just getting around to it. (:

So, Christmas Adam (the day before Christmas Eve) we went to the extended Stout family party. So fun! Lucy was the baby Jesus for the Nativity, and it was so cute-she let her cousin hold her like a baby the whole time!
Narrators Emily and Megan
Singing angels.

Lucy being the baby Jesus. Cute!

Two shepherds. (:

Corbin, Conner, Lucy and John

Lucy and her cousin being little nuts with the Christmas presents.

My uncle, aunt, and cousin have beautiful voices. I love listening to them sing!

Then on Christmas Eve went went to my Grandma and Grandpa Austin's for their party. It was a blast!

The Nativity. (little Miss Lillie is being a princess. How funny!)

The angels (and the princess.)

Pretty sure we had like ten narrators this year. (:

Megan leading, and some of the other narrators.

Then, we spent the night at my parent's house (just for John), which was so fun! We woke up and opened presents, then came back to Kyle's parents for more presents!

John got an orange!
Lucy got an orange!
Ready to come see our presents!
Getting anxious...
Megan sees her new puppy Kevyn, for the first time!
She's such a cute little Kevyn!

Lucy gets abandoned on the floor in all the excitement. (:
Dad and Kyle. Go cougars!
Lucy got some pretties. Yay!

My cute Mark called from Germany in the early afternoon, we had an early dinner with the Johnson's, then played some more. Needless to say, it was a very busy day. Lucy was exhausted. It was a wonderful Christmas though!
